Emma tried rowing in Easter 2019 as an undergrad. Over 3 years later she’s still at Cambridge doing a PhD and still in love with NCBC! She has rowed for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th eights and is passionate about helping everyone feel welcome at NCBC! During lockdown, Emma took on the role of social sec, helping club members to stay connected by virtual socials and even online BCDs. Last year Emma was one of the Lower Boats Captains, in charge of recruiting and coaching over 100 (yeah Newnham!) novices as well as supporting and coaching some of the senior crews. She has also been involved in umpiring and this year is looking forward to taking on the role of regatta secretary! Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any regatta related queries 🙂
