Rowing is a sport which requires teamwork, organisation and perseverance and attracts motivated and dedicated students. Newnham College Boat Club is one of the most popular societies in college, with roughly 60 members each year from both the undergraduate and postgraduate communities. Newnham has a strong presence on the river, with the first boat holding double headship in 2019 bumps, representation in university boats at the boat race and being known for running Newnham Head, the friendliest race on the Cam. We are proud of NCBC being an inclusive club, with contributions from rowers of all levels being valued and leading to excellent results in competitions for all our boats.
Sponsoring NCBC would allow your company access to our group of talented female students and visibility to other rowers on the river. This would allow you to advertise to students looking for graduate employment or to athletes from both college and town clubs. We can design a personalised package to best suit your requirements, ranging from printing logos on kit or Newnham Head entry forms to opportunities to talk to students at NCBC social events. In order to continue our recent successes, NCBC needs sponsorship to help in our search for a boathouse to call home and to keep membership costs low to allow rowing to be as accessible as possible.
